As a Guidewire InsuranceNow Architect / Senior InsuranceNow Developer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and configuring Guidewire’s InsuranceNow platform for our customers. Job Description

What you’ll do

• Lead and execute the configuration, integration, and custom development of Guidewire InsuranceNow for customer implementations, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

• Collaborate closely with consultants, business analysts, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using advanced knowledge of Java, JavaScript, web technologies, and cloud infrastructure.

• Analyze and interpret log files, optimize system performance, and ensure robust, scalable deployments.

• Mentor and perform peer code reviews to uphold code quality and best practices.

• Demonstrate InsuranceNow functionality to stakeholders, articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Manage multiple priorities, proactively identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll bring
Required

• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow, including at least 2 years in a technical professional services role.

• Strong background in Java, JavaScript, and web technology development.

• Proficiency with Java runtime, troubleshooting tools, and log analysis (e.g., Log4J).

• Experience with Apache Tomcat, AWS (S3, PrivateLink, Lambda), and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, AWS Aurora).

• Working knowledge of XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Apache Velocity.

• Familiarity with software development tools (Eclipse, IntelliJ, GitHub) and project coordination tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet, Jira).

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.

Preferred

• Advanced knowledge of AWS infrastructure and technologies.

• Experience in customer-facing technical environments.

• Property and Casualty Insurance domain knowledge.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
