ERM is seeking an ambitious and passionate Health & Safety Consultant to join our growing team in London.

This is a unique opportunity to be embedded full-time within one of the world's most innovative technology organisations.

Leveraging cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced engineering, our client is transforming technology at scale while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety, operational excellence, and sustainability.

As part of this role, you will work across two London-based sites while supporting operations throughout the EMEA region.

You'll collaborate with industry-leading professionals, contribute to a world-class safety culture, and help drive meaningful improvements in workplaces that are shaping the future of technology.

The role also offers the opportunity for regional travel (approximately 10-20%) across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

What You'll Do

As a trusted Health & Safety professional, you will:

  • Support the delivery of EHS programmes through site inspections, workplace observations, and safety walkarounds.

  • Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and support risk reduction initiatives.

  • Assist with EHS audits and risk assessments across a range of operational activities.

  • Monitor construction safety, workplace safety, and occupational hygiene risks, including areas such as noise exposure and chemical management.

  • Gather and maintain accurate site records, observations, and supporting documentation.

  • Prepare clear, concise, and actionable reports based on findings and performance trends.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to implement practical and sustainable safety improvements.

  • Support compliance with UK health and safety legislation, client requirements, and internal standards.

  • Contribute to the continual improvement of safety culture across multiple sites and business functions.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a proactive and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and building positive safety cultures.

You'll ideally have:

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate (required) or NEBOSH Diploma (preferred), or an equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.

  • Experience in an EHS, health and safety, or operational environment, either within industry or consulting.

  • A sound understanding of UK health and safety legislation and risk management principles.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • A hands-on approach and confidence working across dynamic operational environments.

  • Flexibility to work on client sites as required.

  • A full UK driving licence, or the ability to travel independently between locations.

  • Experience with Enablon or similar EHS management systems would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Why Join ERM?

At ERM, you'll be part of the world's largest pure-play sustainability consultancy, working alongside talented professionals who are helping organisations solve some of their most complex environmental, health, safety, and sustainability challenges.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Work within a globally recognised, cutting-edge technology organisation.

  • Develop your technical and consulting skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Gain exposure to regional EMEA operations.

  • Contribute to innovative projects that are shaping the future of technology and sustainability.

  • Build your career with a global leader in EHS and sustainability consulting.
