JKey Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for the following.

The Senior Consultant is responsible for working with a team of up to 6 analysts / senior analysts to independently deliver projects to Kantar Client Servicing teams or directly to the end client.
-
Understand client question from written or oral brief and translate it into a technical spec. Should be able to customise analysis for project requirements.

Translate business problem into analytical framework, break into task and assign to team members.
-
Make technical decisions on data preparation and modeling such that business questions can be answered.
-
Work with available data – be able to analyse with limited or complex data and provide a feasible solution framework.
-
Ensure that every piece of work is delivered with accuracy and on time.
-
Manage client expectations on deliverables.
-
Create project parameters (meta-data) and guide data harmonization for modelling.
-
Build hypotheses and develop models which are statistically sound and make business sense
-
Guide modelling in the team
-
Translate model results into answers for the client in business language.
-
Ensure consistent delivery across projects by strict adherence to process.

Contribute to process improvement through ideas and implementation (automation in Excel Macros / VBA / R / Python)

Build custom tools (in Excel) for simulation / optimization for client use, when necessary

Responsible for internal reporting of project related metrics. This includes but is not limited to docking time spent on projects accurately by self and project team, inputs into time plans and effort estimation, training team on process.

Accountable for compliance to organizational requirement for self.

Providing unbiased feedback for bi-annual and annual appraisals for team members who work with you.

Contribute to entry level hiring.

This is an individual contributor role reporting into an Analytics Manager or a Senior Analytics Manager.
Essential Skills:
-
Good spoken and written English communication. Ability to speak in business terms is a required skill.
-
Should be able to translate numbers, techniques, statistics into implications for the client’s business.
-
Strong sense of ownership of projects
-
Ability to work independently and with a team to deliver projects
-
Should have worked with SAS, SQL, R, SPSS or equivalent analytical tools
-
Candidates with ability to automate repetitive tasks using Python, SQL, VBA or other tools are preferred.

Added advantage, if the candidate is PMP certified
Educational Qualification:
-
Masters in statistics or economics
-
Or 4-year Bachelor's Degree in engineering from reputed university along with PGDM / MBA in marketing
-
4+ years of experience in business analytics experience in Marketing and Media Mix, Time series forecasting. Experience across domains (CPG, Finance, Auto, Services) preferred.
Work Experience:
-
4+ years of relevant experience (Market Mix Modeling, Time series forecasting).
-
Hands-on modelling experience using R, SAS, SQL or other analytical tools is a must.
-
Sound business understanding in one or more industry sectors (CPG, Retail, Financial Services, Auto, Services, E-com, other sectors)
-
Coding skills (preferably Python) will be considered an added advantage.
