Job Description

Sia Partners is seeking a Senior Consultant to support productivity, efficiency, and transformation initiatives within our Financial Services practice.

In this role, you will work closely with business and operational stakeholders across Capital Markets at Sia to translate strategic priorities into structured operational execution and measurable outcomes. You will support initiatives focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, regulatory documentation, and organizational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate brings strong business analysis and process improvement experience, excellent project management discipline, and the ability to translate complex operational processes into clear, structured documentation and actionable recommendations.

This is a hybrid role based in Toronto (3-4 days from the office / client site)

Position Type: Open to hire Full time or Contract

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including workflows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), desktop procedures, and RACI matrices.

  • Create detailed process maps using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro to visualize end-to-end business processes.

  • Establish documentation standards and templates to drive consistency across transformation initiatives.

  • Partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to validate processes and ensure documentation accurately reflects current practices.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.

  • Define success metrics and KPIs to measure initiative outcomes, operational performance, and process improvements.

  • Track deliverables, dependencies, milestones, and risks across multiple concurrent workstreams.

  • Maintain project artifacts including status reports, action logs, decision registers, and other governance materials.

  • Identify and escalate issues and risks proactively, providing recommended mitigation strategies.

  • Support broader productivity, efficiency, and transformation initiatives across Capital Markets.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities by identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization or automation.

Qualifications

Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, operations, or a related discipline within financial services.

  • Proven ability to analyze and document complex business processes and translate them into clear, structured deliverables.

  • Strong proficiency with process mapping and visualization tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong project management discipline and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within Capital Markets operations, particularly in areas such as client onboarding, lending, payments, transaction services, or related functions.

  • Experience with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

  • Experience with workflow automation, RPA, or process mining tools.

  • Consulting experience within financial services or large-scale transformation environments.
