In this role, you will be working with our Investor & Startup teams to deliver content across a number of our events including LEAP, Black Hat and DeepFest.
1. Feature & Content Development and Curation:
- Contribute innovative ideas for conference content in the Investor & Startup Program focused on the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem
- Develop cohesive features and agendas aligned with investor interests in tech and finance sectors
- Suggest new ideas and formats for investor-led sessions, roundtables, features, and content, drawing inspiration from onboarded investors.
- Coordinate with speakers and partners to fit conference themes.
2. Speaker Management and Engagement:
- Identify and invite high-profile investors and founders to contribute as speakers
- Maintain a strong industry network to ensure a diverse line-up.
- Draft communications and coordinate logistics to secure speaker participation.
3. Event Management Support:
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, content production, and operations to deliver a cohesive and impactful investor program.
- Provide on-site support for ISP-focused sessions during events.
- Ensure smooth session flow and handle logistical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective event marketing and reporting.
4. Database Management and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate databases of speakers & investors.
5. Post-Event Evaluation and Improvement:
- Gather feedback to evaluate conference success and identify areas for enhancement.
- Contribute insights for continuous improvement and future event planning.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Event Management, Communications, Business)
- Proven experience in event programming, conference planning, or investor relations
- Demonstrated experience working with startup ecosystems, venture capital, or investment communities
Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of tech and finance sectors, particularly venture capital and startup ecosystems
- Knowledge of current trends in entrepreneurship, investment, and innovation
- Familiarity with conference and event programming best practices
- Established network of industry contacts in the investment and startup communities
Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong network development and relationship management capabilities
- Creative thinking and innovative approach to content development
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
