We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Computational Biologist with a strong biological and computational background to join the Oncology Research Unit (ORU) Computational Biology group. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with an exceptional team of scientists working on the development of novel ADCs and immuno-therapeutics in ORU at La Jolla, CA or Bothell, WA sites.
Key responsibilities include the analysis of multi-omics data; bulk mRNA expression, single-cell sequencing and spatial omics data. The successful candidate is expected to apply cutting-edge bioinformatics, data science approaches to advance drug discovery programs with an emphasis on ADC development. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analysis of biomarker data from early clinical development and translating findings into new therapeutic hypothesis. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Computational Biology scientists and teams generating functional genomics, proteomics, enzymology, and structural biology data.
Position Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with bench scientists to design and execute computational analysis of omics data from drug discovery programs.
• Develop and leverage state-of-the-art computational approaches for cancer ADC development and precision medicine.
• Develop novel algorithms (including ML/AI) and workflows for the analysis of multi-modal data.
• Conduct in silico analysis to integrate, interpret, and mine internal and public data to address questions about tumor-associated antigens, predictive biomarkers, tumor indications, ADC drug combinations, and resistance mechanisms.
• Collaborate with scientists from diverse disciplines in ORU and Pfizer divisions.
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary project teams to formulate data-driven, actionable hypotheses and contribute to data packages supporting decision making.
• Present analytical results and literature reviews at project meetings as required.
