The role:
We are seeking a proactive, pragmatic, and dependable Financial Crimes Compliance Specialist to support projects and BAU activities undertaken by the second line enterprise legal, risk and compliance operations team, with a focus on financial crimes compliance, and development and implementation of our enterprise AML Framework. This is a key role within the enterprise legal, risk and compliance operations team, helping to ensure our regulatory compliance and operational excellence as part of a global organization.

Some of the things you'll be doing:
Technical expertise
- Project Management: Contribute to and manage (under guidance) projects and BAU activities that advance the AML framework, or otherwise support the activity of the enterprise legal, risk and compliance operations team.
- AML Framework Intake: Contribute to the handling of intake requests from the wider organization related to the AML Framework in collaboration with key stakeholders, developing detailed knowledge of the policy and standards and their implementation, and coordinating periodic review and updates.
- Country risk list: Manage the review and implementation of the IBM country risk list.
- Communications and training: draft communications, coordinating stakeholder groups and work with marketing for timely delivery of information, and deliver training and updates related to the AML Framework.
- Compliance Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of FATF and other legal and regulatory changes that may be relevant at enterprise level (e.g., EU).
- Enterprise Policy Function: Contribute to the drafting and review of enterprise compliance policies and procedures and support management of the policy tool and framework.
- Technology Adaptation: Stay informed about relevant business tools and technology to enhance efficiency
Client Care
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the wider Legal, Risk, and Compliance team, KYC Services, and Regulatory technology teams.
- Efficiency Focus: Manage deadlines and deliverables with accuracy and time efficiency, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Internal & External Support: Support the secretary of the AML Directorate (governance committee), for example with the preparation of meeting packs, running meetings, and recording and tracking of decisions and actions.
- Governance & Conduct: Act as a role model in identifying improvements, escalating concerns, and adhering to internal governance and conduct standards.
People & Team Development
- Leadership & Training: Support and contribute to efforts to promote awareness of the AML Framework and other legal, risk, and compliance operations initiatives across the organization through training, networking, presentations, and other communications.
- Team Collaboration: Foster teamwork and collaboration with immediate team members and other departments to achieve shared objectives.
Please note this is not an exhaustive list, and you may be asked to perform additional reasonable duties within this role. You may also be asked to travel to other CSC office locations to perform these duties from time to time.
Your profile:
- Experience: You bring transferable skills and a strong willingness to learn and grow within a compliance-focused environment. An understanding of AML/CTF and other financial crime areas, KYC, compliance and risk functions, and the financial services sector is preferred.
- Qualifications: Strong academic background. Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. You're also either working towards, or keen to pursue, a relevant professional qualification in compliance, financial crime, or a related subject (ICA, ACAMS, Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering or Compliance (or similar) preferred), with PMP/PRINCE2 or CAMS as an advantage.
- Technical Proficiency: You're confident using IT systems and tools, with the ability to quickly adapt to compliance platforms and processes. Office 365 knowledge (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) essential.
- Learning Mindset: You're proactive, curious, and keen to develop your understanding of compliance and the regulatory landscape.
- Adaptability: You're comfortable working in a dynamic environment and can quickly get to grips with new processes and requirements.
- Communication Skills: You can communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues across the business (written and verbal) and are confident asking questions when needed.
- Team Contribution: You're pro-active, collaborative and willing to get involved in projects and initiatives beyond your core responsibilities.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to formulate, evaluate, and implement effective solutions.
- Initiative: Independent thinker with the ability to manage tasks and drive success proactively, and with minimal supervision. Highly organized and methodical with excellent attention to detail.
