Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to join the Total Rewards Executive Compensation Team. This role provides strategic guidance on executive compensation programs and practices, helping ensure competitive, performance-driven pay solutions that align with business objectives, governance standards, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Compensation Consultant will partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to support executive compensation decisions, programs, disclosures, and processes.
In This Role, You Will
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior HR leaders and business partners on executive compensation strategy, governance, and program execution.
- Develop and implement executive compensation programs and strategies that support business objectives, talent priorities, and market competitiveness.
- Partner across HR, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Total Rewards Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment on executive compensation practices and disclosures.
- Analyze executive compensation, market, proxy, and benchmarking data to provide actionable recommendations and executive-ready insights.
- Support executive compensation decisions requiring Human Resources Committee (HRC) approval, including annual pay reviews, executive appointments, promotions, and key external hires.
- Prepare HRC materials and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with governance requirements.
- Manage key executive compensation programs and processes, including off-cycle equity grants, and enterprise-wide U.S. notice period programs affecting more than 50,000 employees.
- Conduct market pricing and competitive benchmarking analyses to support compensation decisions and maintain market competitiveness.
- Assist with executive compensation disclosures, including the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A) and related Proxy statement requirements.
- Lead compensation-related projects, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and partner with external consultants on market studies, surveys, and special initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Compensation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and evaluate data to support executive compensation decisions and market competitiveness.
- Strong executive presence and confidence presenting to senior leadership.
- Understanding of SEC rules and regulations.
- Experience working with executive compensation disclosures, including the Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A) and related Proxy statement requirements.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Familiarity with executive compensation market data sources and benchmarking methodologies.
- Knowledge of executive compensation governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Workday, including reporting and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment and navigate ambiguity with sound judgment.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$87,000.00 - $154,000.00
