Job Description:

The Sr. P+C Communications Specialist drives the strategy, planning and execution of global P+C internal communications as an individual contributor working cross-functionally with enterprise and functional business partners to ensure communications and related assets are delivered on schedule and in alignment with strategic internal and external business objectives and represent the unified voice of the People + Culture team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement various global employee communications with emphasis on Human Resources initiatives and programs, including but not limited to talent and leadership development, inclusion, belonging and engagement (IBE), benefits and wellness, compensation, digital transformation, and recruiting

  • Research, write and produce various communications materials to support global workforce transformation initiatives and HR programs with an innovative approach suitable for fully remote workplace

  • Develop, manage and execute effective communications to promote engagement and adoption of various HR and corporate-wide workforce culture transformation initiatives and virtual/in-person events

  • Collaborate cross-functionally and proactively to identify and develop thoughtful communications timelines and calendar, and necessary change approaches for HR programs and projects

  • Provide counsel to help ensure appropriate and effective communication methods, messages, vehicles and timing to achieve desired outcomes

  • Lead development and execution of long and short-term communication plans, communication and training collateral, and external

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness and outcomes of communications initiatives and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement

  • Manage and maintain P+C pages on the company intranet, ensuring accurate and thoughtful distribution of HR-related information to all employees

  • Enhance the creation, impact, and innovative nature of communications by staying current on best practices and heightening processes, tools, and collaboration particularly in a fully remote work environment

  • Develop communication toolkits and resources to enable strategic outcomes

  • Maintain awareness of the latest external factors that could influence global communication projects

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns

  • Ensure all communications are consistent with the organization's voice and brand guidelines, including scripts for senior P+C leadership team

  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to communication of various corporate-wide initiatives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Superb written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; able to tailor messages and styles to different audiences and situations

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate directly with cross-functional partners, including managing conflict effectively and prioritizing and managing stakeholder requests appropriately

  • Thorough understanding of HR programs and initiatives

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and oversee high-visibility projects and processes

  • Ability to quickly understand and effectively communicate complex, technical subject matter

  • Ability to work independently, with guidance in the most complex situations

  • Ability to manage and adapt to changing and multiple priorities and short deadlines

  • Adept at successfully building relationships and driving projects to completion in a remote environment

  • Experienced in presenting to groups at all levels with the ability to answer questions with poise and confidence while relating in an approachable manner

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, MS Teams, and SharePoint content management and distribution platforms

  • Thorough understanding of graphic design concepts

  • A strategic, growth-oriented, self-motivated team player with a consultative mindset, capable of aligning communication strategies with strategic organizational objectives

  • Strong work ethic and able to work at a fast pace, while maintaining high accuracy and quick turnaround time on assigned projects

  • Open to constructive feedback and determined to meet expectations for internal communications initiatives

  • Experience in a multi-location organization and/or with multi-national/global communications

  • Occasional travel required

  • Knowledge of change management approaches and experience preparing materials for public relations teams are a plus

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND seven (7) years of experience in Corporate Communications, HR Communications, Marketing or related field; OR

  • Master's Degree AND five (5) years of experience in Corporate Communications, HR Communications, Marketing or related field

  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
