Join our European Communications team as we make refurbished tech the obvious choice across Spain and Germany. You'll be the storytelling force behind Back Market's growth in two dynamic markets, connecting with journalists, building influencer communities, and shaping how millions of people think about technology and the planet.

This isn't a desk job. You'll partner with country managers, agencies, and marketing teams across borders, travel regularly between markets, and own the full communications remit, from corporate reputation to consumer campaigns to earned influencer strategy. If you thrive in the space between structure and improvisation, this is your role.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🥇

You'll build and protect Back Market's reputation across Spain and Germany, turning our circular economy mission into earned conversations that drive business results.

What you'll own:

  • Annual comms strategy for SP/DACH, aligning corporate moments, product launches, and cultural storytelling with measurable business outcomes

  • Media relationships with reporters and editors shaping conversations in tech, sustainability, business, and culture

  • Earned influencer community of 5-15 active advocates who genuinely love what we're doing

  • Agency management and performance across both markets

  • Executive counsel and media prep for country managers and marketing leadership

  • Crisis comms planning and real-time response when things get spicy

Your work spans:

  • Corporate narratives: funding, expansion, policy, thought leadership

  • Consumer storytelling: product moments, brand trust, cultural relevance

  • Influencer activation: community building, seeding programs, organic advocacy

  • Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, brand activism, partnerships, and sustainability teams

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐

You have:

  • Minimum 4 years leading integrated comms programs for European audiences, or equivalent hands-on communications leadership experience

  • Fluent English + fluent Spanish OR German

  • Track record managing PR agencies in European markets and holding them to high standards

  • Proven success with earned influencer programs that create genuine engagement

  • Experience translating complex topics into compelling consumer narratives

  • Direct relationships with journalists who shape national conversations

  • Comfort with ambiguity, fast pace, and wearing multiple hats : startup, scale-up, or agency background ideal

Nice to have:

  • French language skills

  • Crisis communications experience

  • Passion for sustainability, circular economy, or refurbished tech

About you: You're a confident communicator who can write a killer press release, brief a CEO, and pitch a journalist. You understand that great comms isn't about spin; it's about finding the true story and telling it in a way that lands. You're comfortable traveling between markets, managing competing priorities, and building trust with everyone from reporters to influencers to executives.
