The Community You Will Join:
The Communications team is responsible for telling the Airbnb story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and bloggers, hosts and guests, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Airbnb.
The Difference You Will Make:
Airbnb is hiring a Senior Communications Manager to join the Product & Launch Communications team, which is part of the Global Consumer & Product team. This role will support the product communications strategy, particularly during our bi-annual launches, with a focus on our global product story.
A Typical Day:
- Work with international comms team to deliver global press strategy around our bi-annual launches, seasonal updates, notable product news
- Proactively identify opportunities throughout the year for executive thought leadership around our product innovation story, including press interviews, appearances and speaking engagements
- Continue to build and nurture relationships with key beat reporters year-round
- Help establish guidelines around local in-market press activations around the world tied to key product launches and moments
- Work with cross-functional teams to help shape our global product narratives for greatest impact on regional and local level
- Deliver key industry insights that help inform our global press strategy, introducing new tactics and techniques that help amplify our news
Your Expertise:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Established press relationships in business, product, tech, general consumer space
- Product and/or executive communications background
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrate outstanding proactive and multi-tasking abilities
- Passion for Airbnb and the mission of the company

How We'll Take Care of You:
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
