ROLE OVERVIEW 

The purpose of this role is to support dentsu’s EMEA regional communications strategy including internal (employees, leader & change) communications and external communications for the region. This also includes creating alignment, buy in and upskilling across the 45 Markets across EMEA. This will be focused on high quality, insight led, digitally shared, creative communication. 


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Employee & Leadership Communications 

Support the employee communications strategy and approach with a specific focus on leadership communications, employee engagement and digital channels 

Deliver globally aligned, market informed regional employee communications to foster a community of proud, connected and engaged employees across EMEA

Build communications capability with key leaders and help them deliver engaging and authentic leadership communications 

Develop effective networks and relationships at all levels in the business to influence and provide communication leadership and counsel 

Achieve communication excellence through monitoring, evaluation, refinement and improvement 


Change Communications 

Support the change communications strategy and approach, working with transformation leaders to engage, inform and support stakeholders through periods of organisational change. 

Build communications and change capability with key leaders to help them to deliver engaging and authentic communications to our employees 

Enable change through clear, timely and compelling communications and engagement activities critical to achieving our business strategy

Establish the mind-set and behaviours needed to create clarity in uncertainty and support the business through change 

Drive ongoing measurement approach for change communications to ensure effectiveness in driving business transformation 


External Communications 

Support the regional external communication strategy ensuring alignment across EMEA markets and to our global external communications strategy

Identify and build key relationships with media outlets to ensure coverage of company information and work alongside PR agencies 

Work closely with stakeholders to identify and develop compelling stories, pitches, press release, presentations and thought leadership 

Provide direction and support to all media spokespersons as needed. Ensures key leaders receive media and crisis communications training 

Plan, support, prepare and manage responses to positive and negative inquiries from external sources –including crisis and issue-related media and social media escalations and responses 

Brand Marketing 

Identify and implement external event partnerships and sponsorships that align to key growth opportunities 

Support and promote thought leadership development and implementation for EMEA 

Support and develop Social Media strategy and content aligned to global strategy and plan but showcases EMEA markets 


Communications Team Leadership 

Drive a culture of best practice and new approaches to communications to ensure we are leaders in what we do 

CAPABILITIES 

Highly experienced communications professional 

Experience in working with complex subject matters and creating clear and compelling messages to drive engagement and understanding across a broad audience group 

Proven experience in undertaking comprehensive research and analysis exercises to deliver an insight driven approach to communications 

Business transformation and change communications experience

Proven ability to coach executives, influence senior leaders and develop strong relationships when working across a complex, matrix environment to get things done

Experience in people management and developing a high-performance culture within a team 

Project management experience to prioritise and drive communications initiatives and deliver work on time and to budget 

Experience in developing and managing digital communications channels to drive effective communications 

Strong communication skills, in particular creative copywriting– able to “story tell” to land messages powerfully 

Experience working with design teams to produce high quality content with high production value inc. video and rich media content
