The Epic Communications team advances the company’s narrative and represents Epic products and the company vision to external and internal audiences globally. We create positive relationships and engagement strategies with a wide range of audiences, including media, investors, influencers, and policymakers.

What You'll Do

Epic is looking for an experienced communications professional to join our corporate communications and international team. In this role you will create and execute communications plans around high stakes policy, legal and regulatory developments, that impact Epic and the video game industry at large. 

In this role, you will
  • Create proactive and reactive communications strategies on priority policy, regulatory and legal developments, such as online safety
  • Partner with the public policy team on impactful public affairs campaigns globally to build understanding of and support for our products and safety approaches
  • Partner with Epic’s Trust and Safety team on storytelling around our industry-leading approach to online safety and product features
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop proactive storytelling opportunities around Epic’s business, products, and technology in Latin America and Canada 
  • Educate external stakeholders including third parties and media about Epic’s public policy and regulatory priorities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists globally including technology, business and policy media on behalf of Epic
  • Be part of the team that manages Epic’s rapid response efforts, working in fast-paced environments to address issues with players, consumers, and policy makers
What we're looking for
  • 7+ years of experience in communications or public relations, preferably a mix of in-house and agency and/or political organizations
  • Experience driving communications and advocacy strategies around complex public policy issues 
  • Experience working on rapid response with internal stakeholders
  • Experience managing global agency partners
  • Someone who moves fast, is focused on delivering results, and has a track record of working well across a diverse group of internal and external partners
  • A succinct and creative writer 
  • Someone who is people-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do
  • A proactive problem solver, with strong instincts for when to escalate issues
  • A team player who’s collaborative, supportive, and celebrates others’ wins 
  • Communications skills, written and verbal, are stellar 
  • Experience working on online safety in gaming, tech or online platforms is a bonus
