Join the Red Bull Bike Network at our headquarters in Salzburg (Elsbethen), Austria, as part of a team responsible for creating content for all media channels. You'll act as a project lead and work with the rest of the team to develop comprehensive communication plans to activate paid, earned, managed and owned media across all bike disciplines from MTB to Road Cycling. 

Job Description

IN A NUTSHELL 

In this role, you'll lead global media relations and storytelling strategy, focusing on activating earned media, fostering content creation opportunities, and building impactful editorial relationships in the bike industry. You'll set the vision for how consumers experience Red Bull through the entire funnel, providing aligned direction to countries, sharing and leveraging knowledge in Media Network topics, and serving as a committed sparring partner to add value to their daily impact.

You'll be part of the Red Bull Bike Network at HQ in Salzburg (Elsbethen), working within a team responsible for storytelling across a range of platforms and mediums. You'll project lead activations, collaborating closely with the wider team to develop comprehensive communications plans spanning Earned, Managed, and Owned media. Throughout, you'll ensure clear strategic direction, compelling messaging, and effective stakeholder engagement within our communications initiatives.


COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY

You’ll define the communication strategy for the Red BullBike Network, ensuring others talk about us positively and organically through earned media activations and influencer amplification. You’ll uncover story opportunities from Sports Marketing, translating marketing ideas into engaging media products and executable campaigns that spark positive word-of-mouth with our audience.


PROJECT & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT 

You'll take projects from A to Z, ensuring that strategies, tactics, and key milestones are set out from the beginning of any project, clearly identifying the strongest story angles, messaging, and key initiatives. You’ll bring excellent interpersonal skills, working seamlessly with stakeholders at all levels and discerning exactly what’s needed to ensure success.


MEDIA MONITORING & ANALYSIS 

You’ll actively monitor media and analyze day-to-day earned media performance, making data-driven adjustments to tactics and strategy.


LEADERSHIP

You’ll lead communications peers within the Red Bull Media Network, managing direct report(s), PR agencies, and freelancers to drive impactful results.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years' experience in a communications, social media or PR role. Bike industry and Media Company experience is highly valuable. 

  • A communication professional with a strong network of media contacts.

  • A demonstrated history of leading teams and projects, successfully driving brand reach and engagement through earned media and influencer amplification.

  • Proven experience in managing teams of freelancers and agencies to deliver impactful results.

  • Well-organised team player with a self-starter mentality and the ability to communicate efficiently and reliably in a multilingual, multicultural environment.

  • Fluent in English, other languages are considered an asset. 

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is €2,446 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
