Job Summary
The Senior Commercial Strategy Analyst is a critical role focused on understanding the buyer needs that Surescripts portfolio of offerings can solve. The role provides analysis and recommendations to senior leaders on positioning, pricing, and inputs to key cross-functional partners involved in go-to-market of our solutions. The Senior Commercial Strategy Analyst will also support and develop business cases for new opportunities in partnership with other departments such as Growth and Marketing, and represent recommendations to other partners in Product Innovation including Product Management and Product Platform leaders. The incumbent will use analytical skills and strong business intuition to synthesize and make recommendations based on imperfect data. This role will work in a fast-paced environment, independently and cross-functionally, to drive action across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of existing business and market segments to build insights on the dynamics of buyers, products, and competitors.
- Own the evaluation business case work on new opportunities and current offerings to:
- Identify areas of innovation opportunity, develop and evaluate ideas, and build business cases
- Use insights to guide short- and long-term segment planning and prioritization with a strategic lens
- Prioritize product requirements for the Product Management teams
- Contribute to the development of a product's go-to-market plan and work with the sales and marketing team to execute
- Provide support for the sales and marketing team for new and existing customers
- Provide input to ascertain product sales targets
- Conduct evaluation for pricing and incentives.
- Participate in cross-functional analytical projects such as:
- Partnership with Finance on pricing, deal analysis and valuation
- Partnership with Legal and Sales on contractual terms
- Partnership with Growth on priorities and market research
- Partnership with Marketing on segment strategy and positioning
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in related, progressive roles
- 3+ years of experience in market sizing research and industry analysis.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field
- Experience in the healthcare industry or technology

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $121,500 - $148,500 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
