Where the team fits in 

This role sits within the Finance and Business Services Group. This role leads the Product Pricing and Performance team within FABS and has two key arenas of responsibilities:

  • Developing and setting both the short term and long term pricing strategies for Residential, Commercial and New Homes market segments.  Work closely with Product, Sales, Finance and Marketing in identifying opportunities for growth and establishing tactical and value offers for our customers

  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of our key products and services across our Residential, Developer, Commercial and Media markets.  Provide insights and analysis on key trends in regards to usage, uptake, cross sell and implications on financials

 

What the role is all about 

This role is responsible for leading a highly engaged and commercially astute pricing and product analysis team.  Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop a multi year pricing strategy for REA by providing thorough pricing analysis and recommendations to support key business strategic initiatives across our Residential, Commercial, Developer and Media markets

  • Lead the team in developing insightful and meaningful product analysis that will identify commercial growth opportunities or highlight key financial risks.  Work closely with senior product and sales leads to develop optimisation and mitigation strategies

  • Develop longer term pricing strategies for our business by partnering with the Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Analytics teams to understand our customer’s businesses, consumer’s needs and the marketplace.  Use this knowledge in developing price points, pricing strategy & supporting go to market

  • Work closely with the Commercial Finance team to understand financial implications of product and pricing decisions, as well as provide analysis and insights on key drivers of performance

  • Partner with the Data & Analytics team to lead in the creation of meaningful dashboards for key product KPIs

  • Lead the team in developing commercial models to understand the likely business impacts associated with initiatives. Manipulate & analyse complex data from a variety sources using a variety of tools & techniques

  • Coach and build the commercial acumen within the business, increasing the effectiveness of pricing & product initiatives through clear & simple articulation of price mechanics

  • Lead in the identification and keep abreast of digital product & pricing trends, identify implications and opportunities for REA

 

Who we’re looking for 

  • 15+ years relevant industry experience

  • Strong commercial experience in a product/pricing/finance role

  • Strong skills in Excel & SQL

  • Experience in digital performance and listings models

  • First class communication – written, verbal and presenting skills

  • Someone who demonstrates strong leadership capabilities and attributes, and can lead a high performing team

  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to forge trusted business relationships with stakeholders

  • Embrace change, and responsibility

  • Cross functional understanding and ability to collaborate in a complex, fast paced business

  • Proven track record in developing and delivering commercial business outcomes

  • Someone who is proactive, curious, a relationship builder and has strong influencing skills
