The Role

About Us

The Global Supply Chain Fulfilment Finance team is responsible to plan, manage, and control Global Operations costs along with their operational partners. Responsibility spans to the regions assigned.  Attention to detail is a must, high level of business partnership, strong interpersonal and influential skills supporting a remote and diverse team.

From time to time, the incumbent will also work on ad hoc analysis and projects to provide insightful analysis for decision-making by the senior management function in Dyson.

The role has good exposure to the Dyson Global Supply Chain Functions and allows the incumbent a great opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of Dyson Operations Business.

The role reports into the Head of Supply Chain Finance.

Accountabilities

  • Partnering with Supply Chain Operations team, to plan, manage and control Global Supply Chain operations costs, to understand operational drivers surrounding actual results and potential future end to end implications.
  • Conduct regular interlock with various functions within Supply Chain, Market Finance and Accounting.
  • Partnering with operations to identify and drive cost out projects.
  • Focus on improving internal processes to increase predictability and gain improved visibility to operational drivers.
  • Partnering with Supply Chain in cost & lead time optimization by leading through the productivity initiatives.

  • Critical Thinking - Good analytical skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong communication skill – Ability to communicate across different levels and functions (verbal, written and presentations).
  • Change management – Ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment and challenge status quo. Initiate elimination of non-value-add activities.
  • Possess strong business acumen and work well in a team setting
  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent post graduate qualification.
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in project management and/or supply chain is a plus
  • Excellent analytical ability and Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to understand concepts and ideas quickly and model data in meaningful ways
  • Proactive in proposing ideas to challenge status quo
  • Assertive and able to influence upwards and across functions
  • Good spoken & written English
  • Has strong sense of operational discipline and ability to meet deadlines
