Job Summary:
As Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will provide high‑quality financial analysis, commercial insight and business partnering support to the Product function. This will include the reporting, analysis and interpretation of financial and operational data, developing models and scenarios to influence strategic and commercial decisions.
This role requires strong commercial acumen and the confidence to operate independently in a highly visible position.

What will you be doing?
- Providing analytical and commercial finance support to the Product function, with a key focus on Product Profitability, Mix & Rate analysis and P&L forecasting. Specifically working with Product Category Directors to influence these areas of focus and drive clearer financial accountability / ownership within each Product Category.
- Leverage the reporting and interpretation of financial and operational data, combined with advanced knowledge of internal systems and processes, to identify risks, issues, and value add opportunities for Product. Apply strong problem‑solving skills to deliver actionable recommendations that support the Product function in driving sales, improving profitability, and strengthening decision‑making.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insight, challenge, recommendations and helping educate the Product team enhance their understanding on how decisions they make affect the P&L.
- Being proactive – challenging assumptions, finding gaps, trends and opportunities, and driving commercial acumen within Product.
- Link current processes and reports into action plans and learnings (make it a cycle driven by actions, not isolated tasks eg. Forecasts, Product Profitability).
- Lead commercial insight meetings with Product Category Directors and PSLs.
- Managing, manipulating and interpreting large datasets (in excel/SQL).
- Working with the Business Intelligence team for information requests and exploring relevant tools to share and enhance information and reporting.
- Responds to information requests from internal customers and others and develops and distributes quarterly reporting where required.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with typically 8+ years’ experience in business partnering, finance or a similar commercial role
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and critical thinking skills.
- Strong excel skills and experience with managing large datasets and large volumes of data. SQL essential requirement.
- Proven ability to operate as a subject matter expert, advising management on complex financial and commercial issues
- Highly analytical, with strong financial modelling and data interpretation skills
- Comfortable working independently, using sound judgement to evaluate options and make recommendations
- Confident communicator, able to translate complex financial and commercial information into clear, actionable insight for non-Finance stakeholders
- Experience influencing stakeholders and contributing to policy, process and reporting improvements
- Develops solutions for a variety of situations and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis. May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance; determines best course of action to achieve results.
