Senior CloudOps

Launchpad is hiring a Senior CloudOps Engineer to lead the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. You’ll own key areas like monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and cloud automation, working across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and self-healing systems.

🌐 Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30 to 16.30 PST

🏡 Work mode: 100% remote

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security across Azure-based cloud environments
• Act as Level 3 support, troubleshooting escalated issues and performing root cause analysis (RCA)
• Monitor infrastructure health using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor
• Automate operational tasks with Python, Bash, or PowerShell to reduce manual work
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for business continuity
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and ensure infrastructure compliance
• Manage patching, updates, and system maintenance across environments
• Collaborate with Dev, Security, and Platform teams to optimize cloud reliability and scalability
• Define and evolve incident response playbooks, post-mortem processes, and mitigation workflows
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation strategies using IaC and DevOps tools
• Research and recommend emerging tech to improve resilience and efficiency

• 5+ years of experience in CloudOps / Cloud Engineering, with deep expertise in Azure
• Strong background in monitoring and incident response using Datadog, Prometheus, Azure Monitor
• Hands-on troubleshooting and RCA experience for high-impact cloud issues
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and vulnerability management
• Scripting proficiency with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery in cloud environments
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Solid grasp of networking, IAM, firewalls, and cloud governance
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Clear communicator, capable of working across technical and non-technical teams
