The Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer will manage enterprise cloud platforms and support a multi-cloud automated platform (IaaS) within a global team. Reporting to the Cloud Platform Engineering Director, you will apply your expertise in automated software engineering, scripting, and cloud operations to guide project delivery and maintain an enterprise-level cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Standardize and automate provisioning and support as reusable cloud services
- Develop infrastructure as code on AWS/Azure/GCP for various environments
- Implement automated deployment processes to enhance functionality and manageability
- Engineer resilient cloud architectures, including multi‑region failover, cross‑account replication, and immutable backups
- Design and support ransomware‑resilient recovery environments, including isolated recovery networks (IRN), clean‑room environments, and secure restore pipelines
- Support large‑scale ransomware recovery planning for environments separate from production, ensuring secure, repeatable restoration processes
- Improve productivity with advanced orchestration, monitoring, and self-healing automation.
- Build automation to prevent issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering comprising of developing, and operating scalable cloud infrastructure services
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and migration on AWS and Azure
- Proficient in automation/configuration management using Ansible, Terraform
- Understanding of backup/restore technologies (AWS Backup, Azure Backup, snapshot orchestration, replication technologies)
- Experience developing automated Disaster Recovery workflows using IaC and orchestration tools
- Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
