Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer to serve as a Tier‑2 shared specialist responsible for supporting, stabilizing, and modernizing AIM’s cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
This role focuses on Azure infrastructure, hybrid identity, endpoint management, server operations, and modernization initiatives, providing both day‑to‑day operational support and project assistance across upgrades, migrations, hardening, and disaster recovery readiness.
The engineer will work closely with ITSM, security, networking, and senior engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Server Infrastructure
- Administer and support Azure Virtual Machines, including performance monitoring, operational maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Support on‑prem and hybrid servers, including:
- Server builds
- OS hardening
- Patch management
- Migration support
- Assist with infrastructure modernization initiatives and operational improvements
Hybrid Identity & Directory Services
- Support hybrid identity environments, including:
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Active Directory
- Azure AD Connect / DirSync
- Troubleshoot:
- Password synchronization issues
- Authentication failures
- Conditional Access dependencies
- Support identity governance, access flows, and authentication services
- Maintain and support:
- Domain Controllers
- DNS / DHCP
- Directory services dependencies
Endpoint & Security Tooling
- Provide Tier‑2 support for:
- Microsoft Intune
- Device compliance policies
- Endpoint configuration and troubleshooting
- Support Microsoft Defender tooling for endpoint security and operational visibility
Secure Access & Systems Support
- Implement and support Bastion‑based secure access and administrative controls
- Support systems dependent on Exchange Online / SMTP relay, including:
- Printers
- UPS devices
- Service notification systems
Project & DR Assistance
- Assist with:
- Infrastructure upgrades and deployments
- Technical remediation initiatives
- Network segmentation (NSGs / VLANs)
- Disaster Recovery testing and validation
- Provide engineering support to senior technical initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Cloud / Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Deep experience with Intune, Entra ID, Hybrid AD
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments
- Experience with infrastructure hardening and migrations
- Comfortable operating as a Tier‑2 escalation point
