Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Network)

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on Network Infrastructure, this role will be a primary SME for maintaining all cloud network infrastructure using AI, automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will work closely with architects, fellow cloud engineers, application development teams, and our security team. This role will develop strategy and continual improvement of IaC, AI, automation code for cloud networking, standardize cloud repositories, and integrate pipelines into network Terraform modules.

This role includes regular collaboration with teams in the United States. Expect consistent overlap with US Pacific business hours and flexibility outside standard India hours for maintenance windows and time-sensitive issues.

You will:

• Design, implement, and maintain complex AWS network architectures for Lytx's cloud infrastructure.
• Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions using AWS services.
• Optimize network performance, security, and connectivity across multi-account and multi-region AWS environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for network resources, primarily using Terraform.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain network security controls and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of network/infrastructure engineering experience supporting 24x7x365 production environments, including at least 3 years in large enterprise IT.
• 3+ years deploying AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• AWS network infrastructure experience across:
  • VPC, CIDRs, Subnets, Route Tables, Internet Gateways, NAT Gateways
  • VPN, Site-to-Site VPN, AWS Transit Gateway
  • Elastic Load Balancing (ALB, NLB, GWLB)
  • Route 53, AWS Global Accelerator
  • VPC peering, AWS PrivateLink, VPC Endpoints
  • Network ACLs, Security Groups
  • AWS WAF, AWS Shield
• Demonstrated network architecture and segmentation expertise.
• Infrastructure as Code deployment experience in large-scale cloud environments.
• Experience with logging and telemetry platforms (examples: Datadog/Grafana/New Relic/HoneyComb)

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexible and willing to work outside normal business hours as needed for maintenance, upgrades, unplanned business-impacting issues, and collaboration with US-based teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• CCNP
• Python and Bash for automation.
• Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations and networking across account boundaries.
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with Cloudflare services (WAF, Zero Trust, DDoS, CDN).
