Position Description:
Builds automation pipelines using DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery or Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies. Builds and deploys software using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and technologies (CFT, Arm, Terraform, Terracore, and CDK). Develops software applications using programming languages (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, and C#). Builds software by defining and implementing development practices, standards, and strategies. Enhances firm efficiencies according to Agile methodologies.
Primary Responsibilities:

Confers with systems analysts and other software engineers/developers to design systems.

Obtains information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

Develops and coordinates software system testing and validation procedures, programs, and documentation.

Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects.

Proposes modifications and improvements based on user need.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing Cloud based Web applications in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing Cloud based Web applications in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) deploying AWS solutions using EC2, EBS, and auto scaling groups; integrating build processes according to CI using Jenkins (as a CI platform); and deploying REST microservice applications.

DE re-platforming and migrating legacy monolithic applications to Cloud deployable services, using Java, Spring Boot, and PL/SQL.

DE designing and developing enterprise Cloud-based security solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing Services – Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), and Identity and Access Management (IAM).

DE monitoring and maintaining the operational stability of application services within AWS, Azure, Cloud development, and quality assurance production environments; and creating custom dashboards and metrics for EKS platforms to identify and remediate issues using Datadog monitoring tool.
