What we’re looking for
As a member of the Cloud Engineering team at SurveyMonkey, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing operations of our AWS environments. Your responsibilities include ensuring the security and reliability of our infrastructure and adhering to industry-standard security frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS 4.0. Additionally, you will focus on monitoring, automating, and troubleshooting cloud systems to maintain seamless operations in our AWS environments.
What you’ll be working on
- Maintain and operate AWS environments with well-established best practices
- Collaborate closely with software development teams to align cloud services with business objectives.
- Coordinate security, availability, and reliability requirements for cloud services, documenting and maintaining procedures.
- Automate deployment and configuration of cloud infrastructure while ensuring high levels of security, monitoring alerts and compliance, using infrastructure as code (IaC) for changes.
- Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion in close cooperation with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in on-call rotation
We’d love to hear from people with
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, including but not limited to heavy experience with IAM, VPC, EC2, ALB, S3, Control Tower, AWS Identity Center, ACM, AWS lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront, and CloudFormation
- 4+ years of experience building and evolving well-architected environments in AWS
- Proficient in AWS networking - Transit Gateway, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, Cloud Map, Shield, WAF, Firewall Manager, VPN
- Demonstrable experience leveraging Configuration Management tooling such as Terraform, and proven strategies for maintaining large infrastructure-as-code deployments
- Linux and/or Windows administration via automated scripting of operations within those OS environments
- Experience with Python in either a software engineering or DevOps environment

As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
