Kantar technology is undergoing a transformation to become an outstanding engineering organization. At Kantar Worldpanel, we are strengthening our Cloud Platform Engineering team to help our product engineering teams release customer value more efficiently and securely.
Enablement is one of our core principles, and our success is achieved by demonstrating excellence in cloud governance, cloud automation, cloud security, effective CI/CD, and code management, monitoring, and observability.
We prioritize DevOps practices and strive to empower engineering teams to excel in building and running outstanding products and services for our customers.
About our tech stack
Azure is our chosen public cloud provider, and we apply various Azure Infrastructure resources, including Virtual Networks, Private Links, NSGs, the IaaS platform with Virtual Machines, the PaaS platform with Kubernetes, Databricks, Data Factory, App Services, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, and Cloud-Native resources like Container registry, Container Apps, App configuration, App Gateway, API Management, and more.
We use Azure DevOps for work item management, version control (git repos), and pipelines for CI/CD. Our tools include Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, bash, python, C#, and more.
This is not an exhaustive list, and we do not require you to be an expert or experienced in all of them. However, being a member of our Cloud Platform engineering team will give you the opportunity to learn and use most of them.
Key Responsibilities / what you will do
- Improve the management of several Azure subscriptions through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
- Build code-first Infrastructure (IaC) with a focus on quality and reusability.
- Work on an Innersource approach to leverage technical teams' knowledge to benefit all teams.
- Assist technical teams on Azure platform with a focus on Azure Well-Architected Framework Pillars: Reliability, Security, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, and Performance Efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure management using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting.
- Operate secure practices such as defense-in-depth, zero-trust, and the principle of least privilege.
- Produce samples and POCs to enable internal teams to achieve more.
- Support AWS to Azure migration projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimization.
- Encourage and uphold a strong approach of end-to-end customer ownership in all teams.
- Be a trusted team member, demonstrating your expertise by providing support to other team elements on Azure and CloudOps standard methodologies and guidelines.

Key Capabilities & Experience
This role would be suited to someone who has been in a role with the following experience:
Crucial
- Ability to identify and refine work to be done by the team.
- Automating cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Building dashboards to monitor cloud services.
- Solid knowledge in scripting using bash.
- Experience with AWS to Azure migration projects
Helpful
- Azure administration and governance.
- Solid experience with Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience with cost optimisation practices (ideally with experience on FinOps framework).
