Everforth ECS is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to work as a member of a team managing and maintaining multiple coalition Mission Partner network enclaves in support of the DoW community. The Senior Cloud Engineer will work with a team to design, implement, and maintain enclaves' virtual infrastructure in both AWS and Azure Cloud. The Senior Cloud Engineer position is a demanding, high-energy role that requires innovative solutions to network, hardware, and software problems. The ideal candidate has exceptional problem-solving skills and a breadth of expertise in cloud networking concepts, modern CI/CD pipeline, platform automation, and infrastructure development supporting these technologies.
The candidate will work in a hybrid onsite/remote capacity in ECS offices located in Fairfax VA, and will be required to travel to Springfield, VA; Falls Church, VA; and/or Adelphi, MD for weekly customer site support, as needed. The candidate must also have the ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS approximately 10 - 20%, as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Integrate, collaborate, and support, a team of subject matter experts in a highly agile environment, to implement best-in-class, multi-cloud solutions.
- Leverage a variety of automation, instance, and/or container, orchestration, security, and native/non-native cloud services for large DoD program(s).
- Architect, design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions and new capabilities in AWS/Azure.
- Assist in partner network integration, testing, and monitoring.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $170,000-200,000

- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline, and at least 10+ years of related professional experience.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ (or higher) within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Fairfax, VA (up to 3 days in office).
- Ability to travel <20% throughout the lifespan of the Program to CONUS / OCONUS customer sites and government installations.
- 5-7 years of experience designing, engineering, and deploying infrastructure systems and services within cloud environments.
- 5 years of experience and proficiency working with Azure Cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux endpoints, with hands-on experience with the following resources:
- Azure Active Directory, Virtual Networking, Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, etc.
- Azure, RSV, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspaces, etc.
- Proficiency developing, engineering, and deploying Microsoft Active Directory and DNS.
- Proficiency supporting Windows and Linux Server/Desktop endpoints.
- Proficiency with Cloud networking and troubleshooting Cloud networking environments (IP networking, VPNs, DNS, and load balancing).
- A solid understanding of firewalls, NAT, SSL/TLS, etc.
- Experience in one or more automation languages (Terraform, PowerShell, ARM/Bicep Templates, BASH, Python).
- Experience with STIGing Windows and Linux endpoints and using the STIG Viewer for reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
- Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
