Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will architect, deploy, and operate infrastructure as part of a hybrid multi-cloud enterprise environment, integrating dynamic cloud workloads with networking, management, and identity platforms in a government setting. You will be the program's go-to expert for all things cloud, from landing zone design and identity to migration, automation, security compliance, and FinOps support.

What You'll Be Doing- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure including compute (VMs, scale sets), storage, virtual networking, and platform services in commercial and/or Government environments
- Architect and maintain landing zones, subscription/management group structure, and governance via CSP Policy, RBAC, and other security tools
- Help design and implement hyper-dynamic deployment methods based on customer needs, system telemetry, and other factors
- Plan and execute workload migrations from on-premises environments to the cloud, including assessment, right-sizing, cutover, and validation
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools; automate operational tasks
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and continuity/resilience solutions using CSP-specific tools and on-premises tooling
- Harden cloud systems in accordance with DoD STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and DISA cloud computing SRG requirements; support RMF assessment and authorization activities with required artifacts and evidence in support of Authority to Test / Authority to Operate
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for all cloud resources; ensure audit logging meets NIST SP 800-53 (AU family) requirements
- Manage cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning across the hybrid environment
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures; mentor junior engineers
- Support requirements definition, design, validation, deployment, and operations of a highly dynamic hybrid/multi-cloud management system with controlled attribution, varying mission sets and security requirements, and both managed and telemetry-driven deployment/destruction
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 4+ years of hands-on cloud engineering
- Certified Cloud Solutions Architect in one or more primary CSP environments
- Deep expertise in IaaS and core platform services: virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, security, identity, policy, and RBAC
- Experience designing and operating hybrid environments, including hybrid identity and connectivity
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and automation
- Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility, may require a polygraph
- Experience with classified cloud regions
- Experience applying DISA Cloud Computing SRG, FedRAMP, and DoD Impact Level (IL4/IL5/IL6/IL7) requirements
- Experience supporting RMF authorization packages (eMASS/XACTA) and security assessments in DoD/IC environments
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (AKS, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (DevOps, GitLab)
- Experience with cloud security automation
- Experience working in SCIF or air gapped environments and with disconnected/limited-connectivity cloud patterns
- CISSP or CCSP certification
- Experience with the application of AI tools in support of cloud orchestration, instrumentation, and operational evaluation
