Job Description
Applications management involves overseeing the lifecycle of software applications, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver value effectively.
Our client is Kingfisher, a British multinational home improvement company, headquartered in London. The organization is currently expanding the Cloud Engineering team and, as part of this initiative, we are currently seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer for the Tooling team to join our ranks.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Endava, you will play an integral part in our innovative tech hub, engaging with various aspects of technology. The position is a hybrid one, based in Cluj, requiring office presence two days per week.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving automation in all technical areas.
- Supporting the design and delivery of the engineering platform, pipelines and paths to production.
- Working closely with colleagues in and outside of the team to create, deliver and support the platform in line with our infrastructure strategy.
- Reviewing automation in technical areas and recommend improvements.
- Deploying, planning and maintaining IaaS, PaaS & tooling capabilities.
- Creation and ongoing ownership of the platform common standards and practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- A strong background and working knowledge of Agile, DevOps, SRE and DevEx practices and tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Git, Jira, Confluence, Backstage etc.
- Experience in one of more of SonarQube, Nexus, Microfocus.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, with exposure to GCP and/or Azure being a plus.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- A strong technical background in configuration of efficient CI/CD pipelines for applications using various technology stacks.
- A good understanding and any experience of monitoring tools like Datadog or Dynatrace.
- Have strong problem-solving skills to help the teams when decisions are needed.
