The job
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join the AVEVA Unified Supply Chain R&D team, where you will design, build and operate the services that provide a cutting-edge SaaS scheduling solution for the oil and gas industry. You will work as part of a cross-functional product development team, filled with talented engineers, to ensure that the solution, forming part of the AVEVA CONNECT industrial intelligence platform, addresses our end-users needs and delights our customers.
Key responsibilities
Lead the design and development of highly available and scalable SaaS platform services in Azure
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps
Engage with technical members in enabling teams responsible for the AVEVA CONNECT Platform
Proactively identify and communicate technical issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Essential requirements
Experience and strong understanding of core Azure services: compute, storage, security, monitoring and diagnostics.
Skilled in Kubernetes container orchestration platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Highly proficient in C# with experience developing microservices, RESTful APIs, etc in a CI/CD environment.
A proactive, self-starting approach — you don't wait to be told what to do
Ownership mentality — you care about what you build and how it runs in production
Desired skills and competencies
A collaborative mindset — willing to ask questions, share knowledge, and support your teammates, coaching/mentoring less experienced engineers
Resilience and a positive attitude when faced with challenges or unfamiliar territory
Frontend web frameworks (preferably Angular)
