You will have the chance to holistically own the Terraform development for users within Humana, an enterprise scale company. We are using the most recent enterprise version of Terraform cloud, managed by our platform team, which will give you cutting edge enterprise terraform architecture experience. You'll get the chance to work with many groups within Humana's engineering and application development teams to coordinate the development of interesting infrastructure automations.

The Senior Cloud Architect:

  • Holistically owns our Terraform module development for the enterprise.

  • Consults on Terraform use cases and module development for outside groups within the enterprise.

  • Refactors existing Terraform modules.

  • Contributes to any general-purpose automation work as required by Service Enablement Architecting.

  • Helps to choose and guide contractor resources related to Terraform work.

  • Collaborates with different groups like Cloud Platform, DevOps, Networking, EA, etc.

  • Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments.

  • Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings.

  • Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

  • Begins to influence department’s strategy.

  • Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.

  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience

  • 5 or more years of technical experience

  • 2+ years of enterprise Terraform experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep Terraform knowledge in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with of IaaC ; Terraform & ARM templates

  • Experience with configuration tools like Ansible or Puppet

  • Well versed with Azure DevOps (CICD pipeline) and/or Github

  • Strong coding skills, with the ability to learn new technologies

Work at Home Guidance

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$126,800 - $174,500 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
