We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Coordinator to support and enhance our research program through strong operational leadership and independent initiative. In this role, you will ensure that research studies run efficiently, uphold high standards of quality and compliance, and contribute to the overall success of the department. This advanced position offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, demonstrate increased autonomy, and support the professional development of other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently coordinate research and administrative tasks in support of one or more research studies.
  • Collaborate with study investigators and supervisor to resolve study‑related issues and ensure smooth study operations.
  • Provide backup support to other research coordinators as needed.
  • Contribute to departmental financial performance through budgeting, billing, and other financial tasks as directed.
  • Develop specialized research instruments and assist in preparing scientific manuscripts or presentations.
  • Provide regular after‑hours support, with occasional on‑call responsibilities and periodic overnight business travel.
  • Demonstrate increased productivity, efficiency, and independence relative to a Research Coordinator.
  • Train research coordinators on proper study conduct and assist in departmental quality control activities.\
  • Support managers or supervisors by helping oversee financial processes and quality‑focused initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Preferred fields: Science, Healthcare, or another related field --or--
    • Significant experience in research coordination may be substituted for educational requirements
  • Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire
  • 5 years of experience in related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or similar professional research certification upon hire

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
