Job Summary

Ascend Vision Partners is seeking a Senior Integration and Clinical Applications Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert for the organization’s primary clinical and administrative platforms: Nextech IntelliChart Pro electronic health record (EHR) and Nextech Practice Plus practice management (PM).

This position is responsible for application support, system configuration, workflow optimization, and implementation activities across both platforms. The Senior Analyst will play a lead role in system conversions and integrations, including pre-go-live planning, testing, data validation, deployment, and post-go-live optimization.

The ideal candidate combines healthcare application expertise with a strong understanding of clinical operations, revenue cycle workflows, information technology, and regulatory compliance. This individual will translate operational needs into effective system configurations that improve efficiency, data integrity, user adoption, and patient care across all Ascend Vision Partners locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Workflow Analysis and Optimization
  • Conduct workflow assessments with clinical, front-office, back-office, and revenue cycle teams to identify inefficiencies, system limitations, and opportunities for improved utilization.
  • Design and implement system configurations that align Nextech functionality with clinical, administrative, and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Partner with clinical, finance, compliance, and revenue cycle leadership to ensure documentation and billing workflows support clinical best practices and meet regulatory, compliance, and payer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain workflow documentation, standard operating procedures, job aids, and end-user training materials.
  • Participate in operational and technology assessments of potential acquisition targets to evaluate system capabilities and integration requirements.
System Implementation and Conversion
  • Serve as a lead analyst for system implementations, consolidations, conversions, and upgrades, including the ongoing migration from EyeMD/iMedicWare and MedEvolve to Nextech.
  • Develop system integration roadmaps for newly acquired practices.
  • Participate in system design, configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities for new modules, releases, interfaces, and integrations.
  • Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, issue resolution, and dependencies with Nextech Professional Services, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify implementation risks and communicate recommended solutions to project and operational leadership.

 Pre-Go-Live Integration

  • Lead integration planning and testing between Nextech applications and third-party systems, including diagnostic and imaging devices, clearinghouses, patient engagement platforms, and other clinical or administrative technologies.
  • Validate the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data before system cutover.
  • Develop go-live readiness assessments, cutover plans, validation checklists, and contingency or rollback procedures.
  • Coordinate end-user training, super-user preparation, and go-live support coverage across multiple locations.
  • Confirm that system access, workflows, interfaces, and operational processes are ready for deployment.
Post-Go-Live Optimization
  • Monitor system performance, workflow effectiveness, and user adoption following implementation.
  • Identify and resolve workflow disruptions, configuration issues, and system utilization gaps.
  • Analyze support-ticket trends and user feedback to identify recurring technical, configuration, or training needs.
  • Recommend and implement configuration improvements based on utilization data, operational requirements, and end-user feedback.
  • Maintain a continuous-improvement roadmap for the EHR and practice management platforms.
  • Track optimization initiatives and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership.

 Application Support and Configuration

  • Serve as an escalation point for Nextech IntelliChart Pro and Practice Plus application issues across clinical and administrative locations.
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain clinical templates, order sets, documentation workflows, scheduling templates, charge capture processes, and practice management billing rules.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving integrations among the EHR, practice management platform, diagnostic devices, clearinghouses, patient engagement systems, and other ancillary applications.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and system access in accordance with HIPAA and minimum-necessary access standards.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to diagnose and resolve complex application and interface issues.
  • Support system upgrades, release testing, change management, and end-user communication.
