As a Senior Client Advisor with First Commonwealth Insurance Agency, you are responsible for the retention of a book of business by providing highly professional sales support and client service to fully insured and/or self-funded clients while becoming the primary consultant and relationship manager of the Agency’s premiere Benefits Consulting customers. You support the efforts to expand profitable, long-term client relationships by working strategically with Employee Benefits Sales, Account Management and applicable bank partners. You will assume select new business opportunities that have been developed by the Employee Benefits Sales area and oversee the implementation and ongoing relationship of the client. You continuously develop and follow service and performance standards necessary for the delivery of value services and solutions. Your role is to discover and analyze the situation, perform in-depth research, determine appropriate solutions, and properly assemble the team, products and services that fulfill the needs of the client to assist in the as needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities_________________________________________
1. Provides highly professional delivery of sales support and client service while cross-selling and deepening the relationship with the Agency’s premiere and most profitable clients.
2. Becomes the primary relationship manager and Benefits Consulting partner to the client.
3. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with Executive/C-Suite individuals who make the ultimate buying decisions for the employer. Creates & maintains awareness of the client’s industry & business needs for awareness and delivery of appropriate solutions.
4. Oversees the quality of delivery in overall client service.
5. Assists in the research of industry-specific and/or client- specific information in preparation for prospect meetings.
6. Educates account management staff to integrate value-added philosophies into proposals, client interaction, and overall client management.
7. Coordinates with supervisor to maintain understanding of the expectations regarding relationship management of clients within the book of business.
8. Maintains relationships with carriers and other related companies that are critical to the function of the business strategy.
9. Analyzes problems and performs in-depth research in order to resolve complex client issues and makes recommendations to management as needed.
10. Effectively supports the efforts to expand profitable, long-term client relationships by working strategically with Employee Benefits Sales Team, Account Management and bank partners while providing exceptional, ongoing client service internally and externally.
11. Collaborates with the Employee Benefits Sales Team to identify and implement the most appropriate product(s) and service solutions for the client.
12. Ensures that updates to systems are consistent and current regarding client interaction and data specific information.
13. Supports executive management with non-specified duties and projects as necessary and requested.
14. Creates and maintains positive relationships with advisors, clients, bank partners and carrier representatives.
15. Works to ensure the retention of a specific Benefits Consulting client portfolio by working to create appropriate solutions and discovering and executing ways to deepen the relationship.
16. Coordinates and integrates with the Employee Benefits Sales Team and Account Management staff to carry out delivery of product(s) and/or service(s) to make the sale and/or renew and retain the business.
17. Identifies vendors that may deliver value added services beneficial to the risk management needs of our clients.
18. Coordinates and integrates with EB Sales Manager & Agency Development Manager to ensure that the methods of business operations are consistent with the needs of client base, carrier partners and FCIA’s recordkeeping and reporting.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications________________________________
1. An associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
2. A minimum of three (3) years of Insurance industry specific experience, including some management.
3. Current Insurance licensing (Life, Accident and Health, and/or Property and Casualty)
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication and organization skills.
5. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel regionally across the First Commonwealth footprint.
6. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
