We are seeking a candidates to join our JLT Public Sector NSW Claims Team at Marsh in the role of Senior Claims Consultant. This role will be based in our Sydney office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role is integral to the delivery of claims management services to our clients. You will handle a portfolio of general insurance claims for NSW Local Government Clients, with a focus on liability and property claims.

We will count on you to:

• Manage end-to-end processes for a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property claims;
• Conduct accurate reserving, claims investigation, manage claims costs, and negotiate with various third parties;
• Build and maintain rapport with clients;
• Analysing the of entitlements of cover to Clients
• Dealing with external reinsurers on a quarterly basis
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, adjusters, underwriters, and reinsurers.

 
What you need to have:

• 7+ years of claims experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• A strong customer service approach;
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• Work flexibly when required;
• Previous experience in provide indemnity advice to stakeholders
• Deductive reasoning and problem solving skills
• The ability to work in Australia.

 
What makes you stand out:

The following, while not required, would be highly regarded:

• Experience in managing end to end complex public liability and property claims
• Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Law, Business/Commerce, Loss Adjusting or ANZIIF studies;
• Previous client facing experience.
• Previous experience in mentoring colleagues.
