Responsibilities
- Develops high-quality character-related models and digital sculptures to set the quality bar for the project.
- Assists with design and downstream departments in planning and implementing assets into our pipeline.
- Works closely with the art director, supervisor, and leads to drive and invent our artistic vision.
- Assists in planning asset production in collaboration with the downstream departments.
- Has a creative vision to take a character to completion from either a detailed or simple concept image.
- Creates and maintains visual development sculptures and production models of characters.
- Works closely with the Lead Character Modeler, Art Director, and Character Designer to develop character goals and assets that fulfill the requirements of the visual design.
- Creates compelling and consistent models based on the designs provided by the art department.
- Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
- Consistently meets project deadlines promptly without compromising artistic integrity.
- Works collaboratively with all levels of the production team.
- Can contribute to, interpret, and clearly communicate the art direction to the team.
- Has proven problem-solving and prototyping ability.
- Has an exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette regarding modeling.

Requirements
- 5+ years in VFX or animation industries.
- 3+ years in the animation industry.
- An understanding of Creating and managing universal meshes. Understanding methodologies and industry standards.
- Great understanding of facial/body construction, proportions, and physique.
- Specializing in organic forms and hard surface modeling using Maya, and Zbrush.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Intimate understanding of new asset creation pipelines and tools.
- High English level desirable.
- Spanish desirable.
- The ability to use and present in Arnold and or Renderman.
- The ability to use and present in Substance.
- The ability to use Marvelous.
- An understanding of Rigging and requirements for the rigging workflow.

Skydance Interactive creates and publishes original and IP-based virtual reality games. The division of Skydance Media was launched in 2016 through the acquisition of The Workshop Entertainment. About Animation
In 2017, Skydance formed an animation division to develop and produce a slate of high-end feature films and television series in partnership with Spain’s Ilion Animation Studios.
