This role will be based in our Atlanta office, on a remote basis. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Director of Digital Learning & Change.

Position Summary

The Senior Change Manager leads GT’s people-side change strategy for firmwide business, technology, digital learning, and AI initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Learning and Change, this role designs and governs practical change approaches that help attorneys and professional staff understand, adopt, and sustain new ways of working. The Senior Manager serves as the strategic change lead for AI-enabled transformation efforts, partnering with executive sponsors, project teams, Innovation/Technology, Professional Development, Talent Services, and business stakeholders to drive readiness, adoption, and measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads GT’s enterprise change management approach for AI, digital learning, technology adoption, operational improvement, and business transformation initiatives.

  • Translates complex AI and technology initiatives into clear change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, communications, readiness activities, and adoption roadmaps.

  • Provides direct leadership, coaching, prioritization, and oversight to the Change Manager, ensuring consistent execution, documentation, and high-quality stakeholder support.

  • Partners with executive sponsors, project leaders, Innovation/Technology, Professional Development, Talent Services, and other Shared Services teams to align sponsorship, messaging, training, and adoption outcomes.

  • Leads change impact assessments, readiness evaluations, stakeholder analyses, resistance management plans, and sustainment strategies for firmwide AI and technology initiatives.

  • Oversees communication and engagement strategies that build awareness, understanding, confidence, and behavior change for attorneys, professional staff, and leaders.

  • Collaborates with learning teams to align training, enablement resources, AI fluency programs, office-based champion efforts, and reinforcement activities with business objectives.

  • Establishes adoption metrics, utilization reporting, success measures, feedback loops, and benefits-realization practices to demonstrate progress and inform leadership decisions.

  • Develops and standardizes GT change management methodologies, tools, templates, playbooks, and best practices that can scale across practices, offices, and business functions.

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to firm leaders and project teams by anticipating adoption risks, advising on stakeholder dynamics, and recommending practical interventions.

  • Manages a portfolio of concurrent change initiatives, balancing strategic priorities, stakeholder needs, and operational execution.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to advise leaders, influence decisions, and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Exceptional writing, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to simplify technical or AI-related concepts for broad audiences.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using adoption, utilization, readiness, and feedback data to guide decisions and demonstrate impact.

  • Excellent portfolio and project management discipline, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Practical understanding of organizational behavior, resistance management, communications strategy, adult learning, and sustained behavior change.

Education & Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, Learning, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience leading organizational change, enterprise adoption, transformation, communications, or digital enablement initiatives; professional services or legal industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience managing, coaching, or leading change management professionals or cross-functional project teams.

  • Change management certification or deep practical experience with frameworks such as Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent methodologies preferred.

Technology

  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale technology and digital transformation.

  • Experience using firm-approved AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support professional and managerial work, applying judgment to validate outputs and maintain accountability for final deliverables.

  • Models and promotes responsible AI use, including the adoption of emerging AI technologies, emphasizing privacy, confidentiality, and appropriate human oversight.
