Summary:
In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for categories assigned with a portfolio of products and services within the Facilities and Construction space for internal and external stakeholders. You will manage a competitive contract portfolio by driving the strategy and development of the agreements to help providers elevate supply cost performance and achieve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Facilities and Construction categories that may include: Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) Distribution, Medical Gases, Furniture, HVAC, Roofing/Division 7, Flooring, Electrical and Data, Doors/Hardware, etc.
- Collaborate with Vizient Contract Managers on Request for Proposal (RFP) development, bid strategy, marketing and implementation of agreements.
- Share category expertise and industry insights with providers, suppliers, Vizient field team, advisory solutions, legal, finance, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage relationships with providers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction through effective, timely communication and problem resolution.
- Create category-specific collateral to share insights/trends, expertise, and best practices with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with leadership in facilitating business reviews and strategic planning meetings with suppliers.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and revenue plans to measure contract performance against category objectives.
- Identify and fill gaps in the portfolio with suppliers or categories not on national agreement by presenting the value Vizient can bring to their organizations, where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Strategic sourcing or category management experience related to Facilities and Construction in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Skilled in presenting category knowledge to both large and small audiences.
- Financially savvy with working knowledge of expense and revenue budgets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.
