Chewy is seeking a Senior Category Manager, Chewy Health to join our fast-paced and customer-obsessed merchandising team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a business within our Chewy Health organization.

As a Senior Category Manager, you will play a key role in building vendor relationships, developing data-driven category strategies, and executing launch and growth plans in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. We are looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial individual with strong negotiation, communication, and problem solving skills. You should be a versatile leader with a proven track record of high performance and the ability to think big while managing details impeccably.
What You'll Do:
- Lead businesses with many of Chewy Health's largest vendors, including (but not limited to): dog and cat pharmacy medications, over-the-counter medications, and veterinary supplies.
- Establish, build, and manage strong vendor partner relationships, including ownership across all assortments, cost/rebate/terms negotiations, and collaborative vendor projects.
- Build and implement data-informed strategies to acquire new customers and increase lifetime value through lifecycle management.
- Identify opportunities within your category to optimize and maximize product performance, including analyzing sales data, site usage data, assortment gaps, and market trends to make quick, effective decisions for your business.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with finance, marketing, pricing, customer service, product, engineering, and our veterinary clinic-facing teams to drive growth and execution.
What You'll Need:
- 7+ years of experience in vendor management, including negotiations, joint business planning, P&L management, and sales.
- 5+ years of comprehensive business experience in ecommerce, merchandising, retail, or a related field.
- Strong, comprehensive business acumen, and a willingness to move fast.
- Proven operator, skilled in go-to-market, and with focus on execution.
- Strong cross-functional influencing and communication skills, with a track record of building alignment across internal and external teams.
- Ability to lead, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining adaptable and forward-thinking.
- Strong presenter who can lead the delivery of content to vendor partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and retail math; experience with SQL is a plus.
Bonus:
- Business and leadership experience, preferably in both startup and large-scale organizations.
- Deep subject matter expertise in companion animal health (dog, cat), with a focus on pharmacy medications or the veterinary industry
The base salary range for this role is $118,500 - $207,000.
- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
