As a key member of the GSA IT In-Direct Procurement Team, reporting to the IT Portfolio Manager, you’ll be leading IT sourcing and supplier management activities for critical organisational projects and act as a Business Partner to senior internal stakeholders and leaders across the business, understanding their requirements and developing category strategies that align to operational requirements and ResMed long-term strategic business goals.

  • The primary function of this role is to support organisational level ERP & SaaS operational and implementation initiatives, delivering commercial outcomes within designated areas of expenditure.

  • Key deliverables include, leading ERP & SaaS commercial category management operational and transition initiatives, utilizing strategic sourcing and procurement techniques.

  • Leading internal cross functional teams and initiatives to support organisational level deliverables.

  • Development of ERP & SaaS supplier relationships with an emphasis on creating long term partnerships with strategic suppliers.

Let's talk about Responsibilities:

  • Lead interactions with suppliers within the assigned ERP & SaaS categories to guide and maintain appropriate supplier relationships.

  • Partner with stakeholders and GSA team members to fulfill the commercial needs of ERP & SaaS categories.

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to realise identified quality, cost, and service improvements, including implementation of contractual arrangements.

  • Develop and implement ERP & SaaS category management strategies including approaches to supplier search and selection and on-going assessment, including RFI/RFP/RFQ activity.

  • Communicate and drive alignment of ERP & SaaS category management strategies with stakeholders across ResMed.

  • Develop communications plans and deliver communication to maintain awareness of ERP & SaaS category management progress and supplier developments, where required.

  • Arrange effective business reviews and ensure performance and other feedback is delivered to suppliers in line with business and category requirements.

  • Ensure service, support and stakeholder requirements are addressed to achieve appropriate customer service levels and optimal procurement outcomes.

  • Promote internal stakeholder awareness of procurement processes and promote compliance with procurement best practices.

  • Development of cost models to support internal commercial planning and decision-making processes.

  • Conduct regular spend analysis for the category and share insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Provision of regular reporting and research updates to support ongoing stakeholder engagement and awareness.

  • Achieving year over year cost savings in line with budgeted requirements.

Let's talk about Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and work under pressure, whilst dealing with changing priorities and timelines.

  • Highly effective interpersonal and written communication skills necessary to obtain continued support from C-level stakeholders.

  • Advanced level negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Minimum 7+ years of strategic procurement experience, preferably in IT category management, focused on ERP & SaaS solutions, with 2+ years in a senior management role.

  • ERP & SaaS commercial category management experience is essential.

  • Oracle commercial category management experience is preferred.

  • Recognized university degree in business is essential.

  • Experience in digital health technology procurement preferred.

  • Demonstrated professional development in procurement and category management is preferred.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to be a self-starter, capable of working under pressure, adept at problem-solving, leading cross functional teams and skilled at translating opportunities into tangible commercial outcomes.
Ideally, you’ve recently worked as part of an enterprise-wide project team, having successfully delivered strong commercial outcomes for the procurement of large-scale IT systems.

You would also have demonstrated prior experience in ERP and SaaS solutions procurement, identifying solutions, capturing requirements, negotiating contracts and ensuring that solutions align with overall business goals and objectives.
