Are you ready to Be Your Best Barr None?

Lets Grow!!!

We are all about Being Your Best Barr None and having a career with real Moments that Matter!

Employing around 850 people across the UK, we are proud to be a responsible business that takes care of our people, values diversity, gives something back to our communities and works to minimise our environmental impact.

For 150 years AG Barr has been building great brands and is home to some of the nations favourite flavours.

At our core is  IRN-BRU, launched in 1901 and still going strong today, the vibrant RUBICON fruit based brand, Boost making every moment better with a caffeine kick, hydration hit or tasty treat, and FUNKIN where real fruit means authentic taste.

We also have a number of exciting owned brands within our portfolio including MOMA, which crafts quality oats into great tasting oat drinks and porridges.

There's never been a better time to join us!

What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for a Senior Category & Insight Manager, to act as one of the strategic architects of our growth. You don't just find insights; you turn them into a human first commercial compass. Sitting at the heart of our commercial engine, you will be the voice of the consumer across all levels from category strategies to communication and product innovation. We are looking for someone who uses their curiosity and obsession with human behavior to steer our brands, ensuring our decisions reflect consumer needs and behaviours and thus drive growth

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Lead the integration of primary and secondary data sources (Kantar, Circana etc) to provide a “so what” on the UK soft drinks performance, tracking market share, price elasticity and competitor activity etc
  • Bring the consumer to life across the business through clear storytelling, consumer connectivity and deep understanding of behavioural patterns
  • Understand the wider regulatory and business environment, how it impacts our business and recommendation for future actions.
  • Experienced in managing bespoke insights projects to get deeper under the skin of why consumers behave as they do (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Brand Strategy: Be an objective partner to the marketing team to ensure the consumer is embedded in brand positioning and communication
  • Commercial Leadership: Be a category expert across channels to provide clear guidance to the broader team on trends across all categories/ sub categories and channels
  • Portfolio and Pipeline:  Use expertise to identify and size white spaces and opportunities for growth and how to best utilize our brands - based on genuine consumer needs.

What you’ll bring…

Experience & Skills:

  • FMCG Expert: Highly experienced in a category or insight role (ideally in food or drink) and a genuine passion for the UK retail landscape.
  • Analytical Powerhouse: A master at taking messy, disparate data points and distilling them into a single, compelling human narrative. You don't just present data; you influence hearts and minds.
  • Consumer-Obsessed: Always asking why, clearly understand the say-do gap and how to get the best out of all interactions.  Confident to challenge and able to influence with and without formal slides and settings
  • Strategic Collaborator: You thrive on cross-functional working. You are as comfortable leading a brainstorming workshop as you are diving into the nitty-gritty of a price elasticity model.

Personal Attributes:

  • Inquisitive Leader: You have an infectious curiosity about why people do what they do and the drive to share that passion with the wider business.
  • High Emotional Intelligence: You can flex your communication style to influence everyone from a Junior Brand Manager to a Managing Director.
  • Agile Strategist: You can pivot quickly in a fast-paced "always-on" category, maintaining a calm, strategic perspective even when market conditions shift.

What we offer…

We believe in creating a diverse and inclusive culture where your voice can be heard.  Our skilled, loyal and committed people are critical to the future success of AG Barr which is why we are continually investing in our employees to develop their talent.
