Key Responsibilities:
- Lead capture efforts from Qualification/Early-Stage Gate review through proposal submission and award
- Develop and maintain a capture strategy, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget to ensure the successful pursuit of new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute customer call plans, including preparing briefing materials, in order to shape the opportunity
- Prepare appropriate Gate Reviews and other necessary materials to purposefully advance the opportunity
- Drive the pace of capture activities, ensuring rapid decision-making, timely resource allocation, and execution against the capture schedule to ensure internal deadlines are met
- Execute Teaming activities per the capture strategy. Lead teaming negotiations and manage relationships with key industry partners, ensuring mutual commitment and alignment with the capture strategy.
- Execute market research to establish and maintain an accurate competitive analysis for each effort. This may entail preparing materials for and participating in Black Hat reviews and developing ghosting strategies.
- Using knowledge of the customer and opportunity, develop and articulate compelling, data-driven, and differentiated Win Strategies, technical solutions, and value propositions that directly address customer needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, program management, and technical experts to develop winning solutions for new business opportunities.
- Develop and/or support the development and review of overall deal structures, pricing strategies, and financial modeling in support of price-to-win objectives
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all aspects of capture management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the government contracting sector to stay informed of upcoming opportunities and market trends.
- Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify potential clients and competitors
- Lead and participate in meetings and presentations with potential clients to understand their needs and requirements, and develop tailored solutions that meet those needs
- Continue to expand the network of Government, Military, and contractors across pertinent and relevant areas of the Federal marketplace
- Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's capabilities and services to effectively communicate and position them to potential clients
- Travel as needed to attend meetings, conferences, and industry events to network and build relationships with potential clients and partners
- Keep current on knowledge and expertise of Federal Government procurement processes, acquisition lifecycles, and agency-specific buying habits and cultures.
- Support the continued maturation of the Growth Team
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in capture management and incorporate them into the organization's processes.
- Mentor and train team members on capture management best practices and techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, capture, program management and/or related roles within the Government or Government Contracting industry
- Proven track record of success in identifying, pursuing, and winning government contracts and task orders
- Strong network of contacts within the Federal market, spanning Government, Military and Industry partners
- Operational or Technical knowledge of key mission areas within the DoD aligned with Clarity’s capabilities and offerings
- Deep understanding of the federal acquisition process, contract vehicles and standalone contract opportunities, as well as acquisition trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, writing and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze customer needs, shape opportunities, establish and execute creative capture approaches/plans, and support the proposal development process to drive business growth for Clarity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
- Active Top Secret security clearance required, with current SCI eligibility
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and/or minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, capture, program management and/or related roles within the government contracting industry, with a focus on the USAF and USSF communities.
- Previous military or Government service
- Proven track record of success in pursuing and winning large-scale ($100M+) government contracts and task orders
