Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Captive Insurance Accounting Manager to manage a portfolio of captive insurance companies, lead financial and regulatory oversight, and serve as trusted advisors to clients. This role is ideal for an experienced captive professional with strong technical accounting expertise and client management skills.
*Position is location-flexible. Candidates from additional locations may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of captive insurance companies as primary client contact
- Oversee monthly and annual close, financial statements, and regulatory filings
- Ensure compliance with domicile requirements and statutory reporting
- Coordinate audits, actuarial reviews, tax, and investment reporting
- Monitor cash management, capital, collateral, and trust accounts
- Partner with clients, regulators, brokers, actuaries, and auditors
- Mentor and review work of account managers and accounting staff
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and improve processes
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting (SAP)
- Experience working directly with captive regulators and audits
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or similar platforms
- Strong client service and communication skills
Education and Experience
- 2+ years captive insurance or insurance accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA preferred
Pay Details:
The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
