Your Impact:
You design and develop sophisticated C++ components for our medical desktop applications, with a strong focus on performance, stability, and scalability.
You architect and implement complex multithreading and parallelization concepts, ensuring efficient and safe execution of concurrent processes that meet the responsiveness expectations of clinicians.
You analyze and optimize existing codebases — a mixed Qt estate built with CMake, Conan, MSVC and embedded CEF — identify performance bottlenecks and elevate the system performance of long-lived products to the next level.
You collaborate closely with Architecture, QA and Product Management to deliver robust, maintainable, high-quality solutions, and you actively drive modernization away from legacy MFC / ATL / Win32 and Delphi components towards modern C++ and current .NET, raising the overall C++ engineering bar.
You leverage AI agents and Claude Code in your daily workflow to accelerate refactoring, code analysis and modernization of legacy code, and you contribute back to the team's shared agents, skills and prompt templates.
Your Profile:
Several years of senior-level professional experience in C++ development, ideally in high-performance, highly parallelized desktop systems.
Excellent command of modern C++ (C++14/17/20), multithreading, concurrency models, debugging and performance tuning; solid hands-on experience with CMake, Conan, MSVC and integrating components such as CEF and Qt.
Outstanding academic background with a completed university degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
Demonstrated effective use of AI in software engineering. Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools (building agents, skills, workflows) is preferred; experience with AI pipelines, harnesses and context engineering is a strong plus.
Structured and analytical working style, high quality standards, strong problem-solving orientation, innovative mindset, proactive ownership, and genuine enthusiasm for the healthcare domain.
Fluent English; very good German is a plus.
