The Senior Buyer is responsible for leading and developing a team of Buyers to achieve/over achieve on business KPI's of Supplier On Time Delivery and Inventory Reductions

This position reports to the Senior Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Procurement Team located in Redruth and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead a Team to achieve departmental goals

• Work within SAP S4 Hana using MRP system

• Use continuous improvement tools to further develop and introduce effective processes

• Attend weekly site management meetin

• Conduct regular 1 to 1's with team members

The essential requirements of the job include

• Strategic Procurement Leadership - Drive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring cost optimisation, supplier reliability and risk mitigation

• Team Development and Performance Management - Lead, mentor and coach a team of buyers to enhance negotiation skills, supplier relationship management and compliance with company policies
• Supplier Relationship -- Work with Supplier Relationship Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers
• Data Driven Decision Making - Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve procurement efficiency and support long term planning
• Cross functional collaboration - Work with operations, demand planning, supply chain teams to align procurement activities with production schedules, inventory targets and organisational goals

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

· Ability to travel – Visits to Supplier Sites

· Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

·Team leading/management
