The Senior Buyer is responsible for purchasing supplies/services and ongoing monitoring of Procurement's transactional operations including leading of work groups to drive continuous improvement and responds to audits. Will be responsible for the sourcing, procurement and service tasks related to the daily operations supporting processing of shopping carts for critical supplies.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift between 7:30am and 5pm
Responsible for procuring goods, equipment, and services. Prepare purchase orders for approval after achieving defined approval process. Verify specifications of purchase orders are in compliance with existing contracts/agreements. Confirm contractual pricing and notify appropriate staff of pricing discrepancies.
Daily order management, handling confirmations, replenishing inventories, notifying contract teams of changes to products and assisting in the resolution of pricing and product issues
Coordinate the day to day activities of the Buyers
Serve as a liaison between those we are privileged to serve and suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships with those we are privileged to serve.
Coordinate and collaborate with various Departments and affiliates for their input.
Expedite, cancel/defer, and ensure that purchase orders are aligned to support the needs of those we are privileged to serve.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred
High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of procurement or supply chain experience in a health care environment and/or higher education institution required
OR
Associate's Degree and 4 years of procurement experience in a health care environment and/or higher education institution required
