Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr Buyer, a team-oriented individual who has a strong understanding of standard purchasing and supply chain concepts, practices and procedures to lead the Indirect Purchasing division of our company.
Essential Duties

• Identify suppliers and prepare RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for product categories.
• Complete bid evaluations. Negotiate with suppliers for execution of Supply Agreements that achieve lowest total system cost and which are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Track supplier metrics, communicate supplier performance, and forecast requirements, as needed, ensuring all purchases consistent with quality and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with internal customers to implement supplier changes, as required; assist plant buyers and internal customers on sourcing related issues.
• Update price models, as required.
• Analyze and deliver timely cost information.
• Maintain sourcing database and metrics for reporting and communicating Procurement activities.
• Manage contractual commitments and supplier assessments, ensuring all purchases consistent with quality and delivery requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Under This Roof We Require

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in field of business
• Minimum of 4+ year’s experience in procurement Required
• Experience in use of ERP system (PeopleSoft, SAP, or equivalent) and a Maintenance and Inventory system (Maximo).

• Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) Preferred
• Industrial manufacturing and/or Business Management experience Preferred
