RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Development and implementation of sourcing and procurement strategies for Watts Industries Germany in line with the European and global (sourcing) strategy
-Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and demand forecasts.
- Develop sourcing strategies for assigned commodities aligned with company goals
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through sourcing, process improvements, or value engineering.
- Benchmarking; identification of new (backup) sources and continuous improvement of the supply base to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain (quality and timing) at optimal TCO
-Managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricelists, terms and availability of materials
-Troubleshooting supply problems
-Ensuring the completeness and integrity of supplier data, purchasing records and related documentation
-Preparing cost estimates and report all results of cost reduction initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
-At least 4 years' experience in purchasing dept or in a similar position in an industrial environment
-Proven track record in the procurement of technical products
-Sound knowledge of procurement and supply chain management
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (German will be a plus)
-Critical thinking and strong negotiation skills
-Strong planning and organizational skills
-Ability to work in a team and independently
EDUCATION
- University degree in sourcing, supply chain management, business administration or a related field
