Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for credit card technology initiatives and enhancements.
  • Create detailed user stories in Jira with clear acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Develop comprehensive business process flows, system diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and IT teams to define solutions for credit card processing needs.
  • Analyze current-state processes and systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions.
  • Translate complex business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
  • Perform gap analysis between current and future state processes.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on credit card systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with vendors and third-party processors on integration requirements and system enhancements.
  • Document data flows, system interfaces, and API specifications.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting for credit card technology issues.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environment

    Required Qualifications/Skills
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with at least 4+ years in credit card or payments domain
  • Deep understanding of credit card lifecycle: authorization, clearing, settlement, posting, billing, and payments
        
  • Strong knowledge of credit card industry systems and technologies (e.g., TSYS, FIS, Fiserv, ACI, FICO, Way4)
        
  • Proficiency with Jira for user story creation, backlog management, and sprint tracking
        
  • Expert ability to create business process flows, swim lane diagrams, data flow diagrams, and use case diagrams
        
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand APIs, databases, batch processing, and system integrations
        
  • Solid understanding of credit card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and their specifications
        
  • Knowledge of payment processing flows and authorization protocols
        
  •  Experience with SQL and ability to query databases for analysis and validation
        
  • Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail
        
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or related field     ​​​​

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives
  • Strategic thinking with tactical execution capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with credit card fraud detection systems and dispute management
    • Knowledge of digital wallet technologies (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay)
    • Familiarity with tokenization and EMV chip technology
    • Understanding of PCI-DSS compliance requirements
    • Experience with merchant processing and acquiring systems
    • Knowledge of rewards/loyalty program systems
    • Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA
    • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with SAFe framework knowledge
    • Background in card production, plastic management, or PIN systems
    • Familiarity with contact center systems (IVR, CRM) for card servicing
