Job Description:
Senior Business Performance Analyst
Role Overview:
To support the EMEAI region of Advanced Materials, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Performance Analyst based at our GBS in Krakow. This is not a traditional reporting role. You’ll combine finance, business insight and technology to understand what drives revenue, profitability, customer and order-book performance, and translate those insights into actions that improve business performance. Working closely with Commercial, Supply Chain and regional leadership, you’ll challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and use tools such as Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics, Alteryx, automation and AI to make finance more insightful, forward-looking and impactful.
If you’re curious, energetic, digitally minded and commercially driven, and want your analysis to influence real business decisions, we’d like to hear from you.
Do you think you’re the right fit for this opportunity? Apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Support the Regional Business Performance Manager in preparing and analysing CoMA performance and forecasts, linking results to commercial and financial business drivers.
- Partner with commercial and demand teams on the monthly IBP forecast, providing insights into revenue, business mix, variable production costs and their impact on profitability.
- Provide timely, actionable insights on customer and order book performance to regional leadership, working closely with commercial and supply planning teams to explain movements, forecast deviations and business implications.
- Deliver monthly business performance reporting against the five-year plan, budget and forecast, explaining variances and highlighting the commercial and financial factors that matter for decisions.
- Develop financial decision-support tools and analysis for commercial opportunities, helping stakeholders test assumptions and evaluate financial implications.
- Support regional and global automation projects, embracing technology to improve how business performance information is analysed and reported.
- Strengthen financial understanding across business functions by explaining P&L and profitability drivers clearly, translating analysis into practical recommendations and actions for non-finance colleagues.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for a self-driven and motivated business analyst who can work independently, build effective relationships and identify the data and support needed across all levels of the organisation. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial awareness with analytical thinking and proactive stakeholder engagement.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in the chemical or industrial products manufacturing sector and within a complex multinational organisation would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience gained in an international manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a commercially focused, top-line-driven analytical role, partnering closely with commercial or sales teams.
- Strong understanding of P&L, forecasting and profitability drivers.
- IT skills: working knowledge on SAP; excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills;
- Passionate about using technology to solve business problems and have experience with, or a strong interest in, tools such as Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics, Alteryx, automation and AI-enabled analytics
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of analysis and follow-up actions.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to connect commercial activity with financial outcomes.
- Proactive communicator and business partner, with the ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and challenge assumptions when needed.
- Fluent English, written and verbal; another European language would be an asset.
