About the Team:

The Revenue Optimization team sits within the Marketplace Operations team and operates as analyst-owners across several aspects of the business. We develop and operationalize scalable solutions to optimize outcomes at the mid and bottom parts of our business funnel.

About the Role

This role is essential for maintaining marketplace quality and driving revenue growth by spearheading gray market reduction initiatives. You will be responsible for activating policy enforcement mechanisms and providing the analytical rigor necessary to track performance, mitigate leakage, and ensure scalable business operations.

Join us in transforming lives, one task at a time.

What You’ll Work On:
  • Lead the technical implementation of policies within the Business Rules Engine (BRE), ensuring that high-level business requirements are accurately translated into automated logic to recommence and maintain consistent policy enforcement.
  • Own the analysis and tracking of policy enforcement, developing the frameworks and dashboards necessary to monitor system efficacy and the impact of enforcement on the marketplace.
  • Drive direct revenue growth by identifying, analyzing, and reducing off-platform transactions through rigorous data analysis and the design of targeted operational tests.
  • Design and execute experimental frameworks to test new marketplace rules, measuring their impact on user behavior and platform health before full-scale rollout.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure the BRE evolves in alignment with product roadmaps and regulatory requirements.
  • Operationalize marketplace integrity by mapping complex policy workflows, identifying gaps in enforcement, and implementing creative solutions to automate or optimize key business rules.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to policy compliance and revenue leakage, providing actionable insights to leadership that inform broader business strategy.
  • Serve as the primary stakeholder for BRE health, ensuring that business logic remains current and effective, preventing the need for manual resource diversion from other departments.

You Should Have:

  • A BS/MS in economics, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent analytical experience
  • 2-4 years using analytics to drive key business decisions across strategy, marketing, operations, and/or finance
  • Experience building data visualizations to inform business decisions (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, Sigma, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Experience with SQL and large volumes of data
  • Great attention to detail and quality
  • Experience translating technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • A knack for working with cross-functional partners to reach the right solutions
  • An ownership mindset determined to get things done

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Experience gathering, distilling, and providing requirements to technical engineering and data teams
  • Proficient in statistical techniques and concepts (regression, power analysis, clustering, etc.)
  • Technical understanding of data warehousing/data pipelining solutions
  • Experience with a marketplace business model and a global brand
  • Love collaborating together with a tight-knit team
